A Snapshot of Your Day
As an EHS Operations Advisor (f/m/d), you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations within our organization. Your key responsibilities will include conducting risk assessments, developing and implementing EHS policies and procedures, and providing training to employees on safety practices. You will also monitor workplace conditions, investigate incidents, and collaborate with various departments to promote a culture of safety and sustainability. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential for this role. How You’ll Make an Impact
- Work closely with outage teams in the risk identification and mitigation and evaluate implementation of safety practices and procedures during outage events
- Visit active project sites to conduct EHS observations and assessments, and work with project teams to address identified risks or deficiencies. Develop innovative ways to empower the crew to maintain a strong EHS culture and maintain safe work practices
- Provide EHS data as required for Siemens Energy’s internal reporting
- Professional interaction with customer leadership
- Support incident investigations, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and incidents to ensure safe work procedures are being followed with respect to Company policy, and client/ company policy as well as applicable regulatory laws within the specified area where work is being performed
- Stay current with international standards, but lead with vision, not just regulation
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent with several years' experience in industrial safety
- International exposure or strong cross-cultural communication skills
- A track record of leading with influence, not just authority
- Creative problem-solving and a willingness to challenge the status quo
- Strong knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, EU-OSHA, and global EHS standards
- Ability and willingness to travel internationally (50–70%)
