WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• You will bring our finance operations to the next level of maturity, with strong focus on improved reporting, increased efficiency in finance operations, and strong working capital management as we approach the next milestone phase of the business

• You will own and lead the entire Finance function, covering Accounting, Controlling, FP&A, and Finance Operations

• You develop, lead and grow a high-performing finance team, while coordinating with external accounting, tax, and audit partners across multiple entities

• You act as a strategic finance partner to the executive team, translating business strategy into financial plans and KPIs for a B2B SaaS business

• You own cash flow management, liquidity planning, and working capital optimization

• You establish and continuously optimize finance operations, processes, and systems to support scalability, efficiency, and transparency

• You ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting (monthly, quarterly, annual), including standalone and consolidated financial statements

• You own budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning in close collaboration with leadership, providing actionable insights to support strategic decision-making

• You lead audit processes end-to-end and ensure compliance with local GAAP (HGB) and relevant regulatory requirements

• You collaborate closely with Revenue, Product, and Go-To-Market teams to support pricing, unit economics, SaaS metrics, and growth initiatives

• You drive the implementation and optimization of finance tools, ensuring robust data quality and reporting structures

• You improve procurement, vendor management, and cost control processes across the organization

THE QUALITIES YOU'LL NEED FOR A SUCCESSFUL CAREER AT DATAGUARD

• Extensive finance operations experience, ideally spanning accounting, controlling, FP&A, or audit, with leadership experience in a B2B SaaS or tech scale-up environment

• Strong foundation in accounting (HGB) combined with the ability to think strategically and commercially

• Proven experience owning end-to-end finance functions and building scalable finance operations

• Hands-on mindset with the ability to dive into details while keeping a strong high-level perspective

• Solid understanding of SaaS business models, metrics and revenue recognition
  Experience leading audits and working with external advisors and stakeholders

• Strong analytical skills and advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  Process-driven, operationally strong, and motivated to continuously improve structures and systems

• Independent, pragmatic problem-solver with a proactive, can-do attitude

• Business-fluent in both English and German
