As a growing start-up, we are looking for a dedicated and qualified (Junior) AI Solution Architect / Machine Learning Expert (m/f/d) who is eager to help shape the future of technical AI assessment in our ambitious and vibrant team. We work closely together and foster a culture of collaboration where ideas are welcome and initiative is valued.

• Be at the forefront of trustworthy AI by developing testing procedures for AI systems (especially high-risk applications) and AI models. Your focus will be on technical conformance criteria (e.g., safety, security, robustness).
• With your in-depth knowledge of AI technologies, you will contribute to practice-oriented basic research to translate norms, standards, and regulatory requirements into concrete technical testing procedures.
• You can use and expand your knowledge in various research projects in the field of AI testing, for example in the automotive or machinery sectors.
• Experience an environment where you will be at the forefront of knowledge management, research, and development in the highly dynamic AI sector.

What you bring with you

• You have completed a university degree in a technical field or with significant technical components.
• You bring in-depth knowledge and, above all, a strong interest in topics related to artificial intelligence. If you have additional experience in testing, auditing, or conformity assessment, that would be a valuable asset.
• You work in a goal-oriented and solution-oriented manner and enjoy finding creative ways to overcome open questions and challenges.
• Teamwork is your strength, and you enjoy thinking across disciplines and engaging with perspectives from other fields.
• You have the ability to grasp new concepts quickly and communicate them succinctly. You easily place elements in a larger context and find appropriate levels of abstraction.
• You think systematically, work independently and in a structured manner, and are enthusiastic about all issues relating to AI quality and trustworthiness.
• You have German and English skills at least at C1 level.

About Us

The TÜV AI.Lab was founded in October 2023 as an independent joint venture of the TÜV companies TÜV Süd, TÜV Rheinland, TÜV Nord, TÜV Hessen, and TÜV Thüringen. The TÜV AI.Lab aims to translate regulatory requirements for AI into practice and make Europe a hotspot for safe and trustworthy AI. To this end, it develops quantifiable conformity criteria and suitable testing methods for AI. Furthermore, the AI.Lab actively supports the development of standards and norms for AI systems.
