As a Junior Product Development Manager - Train Interior (m/f/d), you’ll shape the onboard experience of the future, making every FlixTrain journey more comfortable, sustainable, and inspiring across Europe.“

Our Product Development team turns ideas into reality, ensuring our trains reflects our vision of smart, green mobility. In this role, you’ll manage documentation, coordinate projects, and contribute creative concepts for train interiors, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and suppliers using tools like MS Office and Adobe Photoshop to bring meaningful innovation to life.

About the Role

• Support the Product Development team in refining the strategy for the customer experience on board FlixTrain’s fleet
• Evaluate passenger needs and translate them into actionable improvements for onboard products and interior solutions
• Design and implement physical elements on trains to enhance passenger comfort and satisfaction
• Support technical and quality compliance during the design, sourcing, and manufacturing phases
• Research and integrate mobility trends to drive innovation in product and service development
• Organize documentation, samples, and project data to ensure efficient information flow and traceability
• Act as a proactive problem solver — balancing customer needs, cost efficiency, and sustainability in every project

About You

• University degree or equivalent training in Economics, Product Management, Product Design, or related field
• Initial professional experience or internships in customer experience, interior design, product development, or rail/vehicle industry
• Analytical, structured, and hands-on working style
• Excellent English communication and presentation skills
• Customer-focused with strong stakeholder management abilities
• Creative, problem-solving mindset and team-oriented attitude
• Preferred: German (business level), Adobe/design tool experience, interest in sustainable mobility
