Your role

As anAssociate, you will take responsibility for challenging mandates and manage high-profile projects. You will work closely with decision-makers, act as a strategic sparring partner on equal footing, and translate complex technological issues into sound legal options.
You will strategically leverage your experience and be a key partner for your clients at all levels. In this role, you will undertake a variety of exciting and responsible tasks:

• Independent management of complex and strategically relevant mandates at the interface of AI, data and IT regulation.
• Strategic consulting on legal data governance programs. From gap analysis to operational implementation in legal, product, risk, and engineering.
• Legal design and evaluation of data-driven products, data usage concepts within the framework of data strategies and digital business models in a national and international context.
• Development of tailored concepts for the implementation of new technologies, including risk architecture, documentation and responsibility models.
• Preparation of expert opinions, guidelines and decision-making templates with a focus on the needs of your clients.
• Successful representation of your clients in administrative and court proceedings.

You have the opportunity to work in one or more of our different areas of focus:

• EU AI Act & AI Governance:Product and compliance strategies, role and responsibility models, risk assessments, policies, training, implementation roadmaps.
• Data Economy & Platform Regulation:including data access, data usage, B2B/B2C models, data-driven product architectures.
• Cybersecurity & Resilience:Regulatory and compliance programs along modern security and supply chain requirements.
• Digital business models & international scaling:structuring, contract architecture, regulatory roadmaps for new markets.

Your profile

• You are a fully qualified lawyer (m/f/d), technology law is your playing field.
• You have several years of professional experience and solid knowledge of technology law, ideally with contact points to AI regulation and data law.
• You can precisely analyze complex issues and communicate them in an understandable, structured and audience-appropriate manner.
• You work independently, reliably, pragmatically, and with high quality standards, even under time pressure.
• You think in a solution-oriented way, prioritize clearly and maintain an overview even in dynamic projects.
• You impress with excellent communication skills, a confident demeanor, and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• You are comfortable interacting with Legal, Product, Engineering, Security, and Management.
• You have fluent German and English skills.
