• Strong experience in designing resilient distributed clusters and SRE tools
• Strong expertise in Java
• Knowledge of any Cloud technology, preferably GCP, strong experience working with Distributed Columnar Databases, e.g. Clickhouse
• Proficient in designing and hands-on development of tooling supporting Enterprise Platform, e.g. automation of backup, smoke-testing, release and rollback, permissions management
• Extensive experience in Core Java / Kotlin
• Knowledge in Frameworks and Libraries: Spring Boot, Spring Security, Microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, Kafka, MQ, etc.
• Experience with AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure is a big plus
• Experience in OLAP databases is competitive advantage (ClickHouse, BigQuery, etc)
• Strong communication skills, good written and spoken English

As a Lead Data Engineer you'll be leading a team responsible for building Big Data platform capabilities, including ingesting pipelines, big data processing pipelines and data preparation. You'll work on designing hybrid data platform across Public Cloud and On-premises resources. We are looking for engineers with strong design and coding skills, team players, motivated and self-driven. People with passion for software engineering and the ability to work in a fast-paced evolving environment.

• Create technical design and architecture for a hybrid data platform that includes GKE, Kafka, distributed Clickhouse database cluster, Airflow/Composer orchestration as key components
• Ensure compliance of chosen technologies with Bank Standards
• Ensure reliability and resiliency of the Platform: design SRE stack, drive implementation, ensure stability of key components
• Lead a team of Java Developers & DevOps from implementation to solution productionization
