Our Team:

The Co-Location Origination team is responsible for securing all business opportunities related to co-located BESS projects. The team develops targeted commercial strategies, evaluates technical feasibility, and identifies partnership models for integrating BESS with existing and planned renewable energy sites. Our team is composed of industry experts with strong sales, commercial, and technical backgrounds, enabling us to translate early-stage opportunities into concrete executable projects.

Career Opportunity:

As an MBA Working Student – Junior Finance Analyst in our Co-Location team, you’ll contribute directly to Terra One’s strategic and financial initiatives. Working closely with the hiring manager and cross-functional teams, you’ll support the development of new business strategies, financial assessments, and project finance activities that drive our growth.

A central responsibility of this role is to lead a targeted strategic project focused on evaluating a new business opportunity within the Co-Location function. You will independently conduct market and financial research, develop a business case, and prepare strategic frameworks and recommendations that inform leadership decisions.

This is a part-time student position (up to 20 hours per week), ideal for an MBA candidate who wants to apply their analytical skills, deepen their financial expertise, and make an impact in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Your Tasks:

• Take ownership of a targeted strategic project within the Co-Location team, including research, analysis, and development of recommendations.
• Support commercial assessments of new co-location opportunities through market research, partner mapping, and competitor benchmarking.
• Assist in evaluating commercial models and partnership structures for co-located BESS projects.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of Excel-based financial models (forecasts, simple valuations, sensitivities).
• Support preliminary project finance assessments and early-stage economic evaluations.
• Help prepare business cases and strategic materials for internal stakeholders.
• Support operational planning activities such as resource planning, timelines, and internal coordination.
• Assist in early-stage M&A or due-diligence research where applicable.
• Provide ad-hoc analytical and organizational support to the Co-Location team and, when needed, to the Finance or Accounting functions.

What is expected from you:

• Ability to learn quickly, work independently, and are a self-starter.
• Strong understanding of business fundamentals and ability to evaluate strategies.
• Prior experience working in startups or dynamic environments.
• Legally able to work in Germany and currently living in Germany.

Qualifications:

• Current MBA student or recent MBA graduate.
• Excellent communication skills in English (C1+).
• Strong proficiency in Excel (formulas, financial modelling, forecasting).
• Foundational experience with project finance, valuation methods, or financial analysis
• Experience in M&A, due diligence, or corporate finance projects is a strong plus.
