Overview of the position
The research group "Biomarkers, Early Intervention, and Digital Medicine" (Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Psychosomatics, and Psychotherapy, Prof. Peter J. Uhlhaas) conducts studies on patients with schizophrenia using optically pumped magnetometers (OPMs) to elucidate the neurophysiology of cognitive deficits. In addition, pathophysiological mechanisms will be examined using computational modeling. For this project, we are seeking motivated doctoral candidates with experience in electrophysiology (EEG/MEG) and computational methods. The earliest possible start date is March 1, 2026. The position is funded for three years.
Your responsibilities include:
- Conducting OPM-MEG/EEG measurements
- Analyzing OPM-MEG/EEG data using time-frequency analysis, source localization, and connectivity techniques
- Computational modeling of EEG/MEG data Manuscript preparation
- Supervising Master's students
You will be employed as a research associate: According to §110 (4), 3 of the Berlin Higher Education Act (BerlHG), research staff are entitled to a reasonable amount of time during working hours for their own academic further qualification
What we are looking for
- a bachelors/masters degree in a relevant field
- extensive experience in the analysis of EEG/MEG data
- experience in computational methods
- excellent programming skills
- interested in working in an interdisciplinary team
