As a Product Owner, you are part of a strong product crew, take ownership of your products, and develop solutions that meet real customer needs – while also delivering measurable business impact.

We are looking for a responsible, execution-driven personality with an agile mindset who is motivated to actively help shape a cross-functional team made up of Business, Product & Tech. You will become part of an interdisciplinary team that plays a key role in shaping the success of PAYBACK Digital Sales. The area is currently being further expanded at our Berlin location – with very close collaboration with our Product teams in Munich.

YOUR TASKS

You are responsible for your products throughout the entire lifecycle – from idea to continuous further development
You understand business, partner, and customer needs and design holistic, end-to-end product solutions
You know the relevant product KPIs and develop your products further based on data – iteratively, measurably, and impact-oriented
You work closely with the Lead Product Owner, share responsibility for the roadmap, and act as a sparring partner at eye level; additionally, you collaborate with development teams and adjacent departments on new products and iterations of existing solutions
You manage internal stakeholders, understand different perspectives, and translate requirements into clear product solutions, user stories, and technical requirements

YOUR PROFILE

You have several years of professional experience as a Product Owner or in a comparable product role and feel particularly comfortable with frontend topics and the design of user-centered experiences, while also bringing a solid understanding of backend and data products (e.g. data flows, data models, interfaces)
You have a strong technical understanding and know how systems work end-to-end – you measure the success of your products based on data and develop them further in a KPI-driven way
You confidently translate complex requirements into precise user stories and communicate effectively across different levels – from development teams to business stakeholders and senior management
You enjoy strategic questions and keep an overview even in complex topics – at the same time, you have a hands-on mentality and actively accompany products from idea through implementation to go-live as part of an agile team
You are strong in stakeholder management and are able to weigh different interests, mediate, and translate them into sustainable solutions
Your products are used by more than 30 million PAYBACK members – therefore, production stability and a reliable user experience are just as important to you as continuous further development
You have a natural interest in artificial intelligence, follow current market developments, and ideally already have experience using AI tools in your day-to-day work (e.g. for research, text generation, or analysis)
Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken, round off your profile
