Über diesen Job
Intro
.img – itai’s machine GmbH is the digital unit of the „Berliner Verlag“ publishing group. With our „journalistic operating system“ (.jOS) we provide a cloud-native publishing platform that serves millions of users by connecting to headless CMSs, processing and enriching content, and distributing it via web and apps. This helps regional newspapers to meet the challenges of the digital age: it facilitates reach, engagement, and monetization of journalistic content and integrates it with analytics and AI services. In addition to the publications of „Berliner Verlag“, we work with other national and regional media companies.
Tasks
Ensure platform stability and quality by:
- Designing, maintaining, and optimizing test cases (Jira/Xray) with a focus on coverage
- Automating tests (Chai, Mocha, Playwright) for back-end and front-end
- Manual testing (BrowserStack, Lighthouse, Postman) of features and third-party integrations (CMS, ads, consent tools)
- Reporting bugs in a modern stack (Node.js, Next.js, React, TypeScript, AWS)
- Advancing automation (optional: CI/CD pipelines, load testing with GitLab)
- Mentoring colleagues on QA best practices
- Collaborating in a high-energy, results-driven team
Requirements
- 3+ years in QA (automation + manual testing)
- Experience with web/mobile applications (ideal)
- Passion for user experience and business impact
- Proactive in driving quality, mentoring, and stakeholder communication
- Fluent English
Benefits
- Contribute to our journey of building the best digital publishing platform in a permanent full-time position, available immediately (or as it fits your planning)
- Modern office with a view in the centre of Berlin (Alexanderplatz), with all the usual amenities (e.g., free coffee and drinks, weekly team events, garage for bicycles)
- Contemporary company culture with a high degree of autonomy and trust, close collaboration within the team, and continuous professional development
