Your responsibilities:
Research in the field of quantum cryptography
- Development of quantum internet applications
- Simulation of communication protocols

Research into hardware-related error models and security analysis of hardware-specific
vulnerabilities - Close collaboration with the Use Case Team of the Quantum Internet Alliance
- Organisation of outreach activities such as workshops and public events
Your profile:
-
Successfully completed academic university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) and PhD in
physics, mathematics or computer science - Good language skills in German and/or English are required; willingness to acquire all missing language skills
- Basic knowledge of quantum information theory
- Experience in the Python programming language
- Knowledge of LaTeX

Knowledge of quantum communication protocols with respect to multipartite entanglement
distribution strategies, the characterization of quantum networks, to (anonymous) conference key
agreement and to secret sharing - Experience with the simulation of corresponding communication protocols is desirable
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for workshops and conferences is desirable
- Ability to work in a team is desirable
