Research Associate (m/f/d) for Digital Knowledge Transfer and Ethically Reflective AI Integration

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a committed and versatile person to start immediately (1 October 2025) on a part-time basis (50 %). The position is initially limited to 1.5 years, a permanent employment relationship is sought. The remuneration is based on the TVöD Bund (EG 13).

Your job profile

You will actively shape the sustainable and target group-orientated transfer of our research results as part of an interdisciplinary research and consulting project. A particular focus is on the ethically reflected integration of AI methods into our research and communication processes. You combine analytical thinking with creative implementation and responsible consulting.

Your main area of responsibility will initially be the conceptual development and operational implementation of a digital knowledge base with scientific diligence, creative vision and a sound methodological approach. In detail, this includes

• Ethically reflected AI integration Conception and monitoring of the integration of AI tools and methods in research and knowledge transfer processes from an ethical, social and data protection perspective
• Strategy & technical conception Development and implementation of the digital knowledge base from strategic planning to launch. Support in selecting the hosting solution, interface management and technical system connections
• Design & User Experience: Conception of the web design (including with WordPress, HTML) as well as design and continuous optimisation of the user journeys (UX/UI)
• Content & Communication Development and implementation of editorial strategies and management of measures in the areas of social media, PR and public relations. Data-driven analysis and optimisation of all communication measures (SEO, SEA etc.)

Your personal profile

You have a Completed scientific university education (Master's degree), for example in communication science, sociology, philosophy, business informatics, design, economics or a comparable subject and ideally bring At least three years of relevant professional experience in scientific project work, knowledge transfer and science communication.

You are also characterised by:

• sound knowledge of or a strong interest in the ethical, social and legal implications of artificial intelligence as well as the ability to critically scrutinise technical AI applications and to reflect on and communicate their social impact
• Experience in the conception and implementation of individual, practical digital formats (incl. SEO, SEA and data-driven optimisation)
• Experience in strategy development, conception and implementation of websites
• Very good user skills with relevant tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office; SAP
• a keen sense of language, visual impact and media effects
• stylistically confident formulation and the ability to analyse complex scientific contexts and present them in an understandable way
• Experience in facilitating workshops and familiarity with systemic and philosophical approaches to communication and leadership
• high sensitivity to issues of diversity, equality and social responsibility,
• an independent, proactive way of working, the ability to work in a team and a professional demeanour
