Your mission

• Own and evolve our Terraform-managed Google Cloud platform, with a strong focus on maintainability, security and cost efficiency
• Design, operate and improve our GKE-based Kubernetes platform, including architecture, networking and standards, and drive security-by-design via IAM best practices, boundaries and least privilege
• Enable software engineering teams to self-serve infrastructure safely, reducing operational friction and manual intervention
• Drive infrastructure automation and standardisation to reduce toil and improve reliability
• Act as a technical partner for engineering teams on cloud architecture, not as a ticket queue
• Continuously challenge existing setups and improve them pragmatically rather than introducing technology for its own sake
• Improve delivery and reliability through GitOps (ArgoCD), standardisation and automation, and continuously strengthen our security posture using Google Security Command Center and native GCP controls

Your profile

• Strong hands-on experience operating production cloud infrastructure on GCP (or equivalent public cloud with clear GCP exposure)
• Proven experience with Terraform at scale and a solid understanding of state, modules and lifecycle management
• Deep Linux knowledge and strong networking fundamentals (VPCs, routing, firewalls, load balancing)
• Practical experience designing and operating secure cloud environments, including IAM, service identities, network segmentation and workload isolation
• Practical experience running and troubleshooting K__ubernetes in production__
• An engineering mindset: you automate first, document second and avoid manual work by design
• Comfortable working independently, while collaborating closely with product and platform teams
• Clear, direct communication in English and the confidence to challenge decisions when needed
