This Senior DevOps role is special because you’ll join a growing Tech Foundations team with a strong, modern infrastructure already in place - no firefighting, just impact. You’ll shape how we build and scale our platform using the latest cloud-native technologies like EKS, Scalr, ArgoCD, and DataDog, driving automation and best practices across the company.

Activities

1. Design, develop and maintain a scalable cloud infrastructure leveraging Kubernetes (EKS), with a focus on seamless deployments and automation using Argo CD and Scalr for CI/CD.
2. Be responsible for managing AWS infrastructure, ensuring security, cost efficiency, and compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
3. Design, develop, and maintain observability solutions using Datadog to deliver comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and metrics for ensuring the reliability and performance of our platform.
4. Take ownership of on-call duties, ensuring swift incident response and maintaining the reliability and availability of critical systems.
5. Monitor and report on system performance and adherence to SLAs, providing actionable insights to ensure reliability and continuous improvement.
6. Play a key role in post-mortems by driving root cause analysis, identifying actionable improvements, and ensuring lessons learned are integrated into future processes.
7. Apply security best practices to safeguard our infrastructure, ensuring compliance with industry standards and protecting against vulnerabilities.

Requirements

1. You have hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or OpenTofu and are passionate about leveraging these to build reliable, scalable systems.
2. You have experience in AWS networking, core services (e.g., RDS, S3), and IAM security best practices.
3. You are skilled in managing Kubernetes (we use EKS) and are excited to maintain and evolve enterprise-scale platforms with best practices for security, privacy, monitoring, and CI/CD.
4. You have experience with observability tooling such as OpenTelemetry and are comfortable working with tools like DataDog to implement metrics, tracing, and robust monitoring solutions.
5. You bring a solid understanding of cloud-native technologies, including AWS services like RDS and RedShift, and know how to integrate them into highly performant and secure infrastructure.
6. You are familiar with modern CI/CD pipelines and workflow automation tools, including ArgoCD, Argo Workflows, and GitHub Actions, and you use them to streamline operations and improve developer productivity.
7. You have a proven ability to design, build, and maintain scalable platforms while working as part of a cross-functional team.

You'll be part of the Tech Foundations domain which is formed by the Engineering Manager of the Domain, an IT Operations Engineer, a DevSec Ops Engineer and a Senior DevOps Engineer. Now we're looking for our next Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team!
