The role
Do delightful customer journeys inspire you? If so, you might be a fit for our new Senior Product Marketing Manager for Activation & Retention. This is a highly strategic and impactful role for a seasoned Product Marketing leader passionate about optimizing the end-to-end customer journey from initial sign-up to habit formation.
Based at our Berlin HQ, you'll join our International Product Marketing team (part of the Global Brand team) and collaborate closely with our Product and Active Customer Commercial teams.
Your mission? To define, measure, and enhance the critical moments that transform new customers into loyal advocates, directly impacting our global growth and customer lifetime value. This is an exciting opportunity to own the post-conversion customer journey in partnership with our product and commercial teams, including onboarding, activation, and habit formation, ensuring a seamless and valuable experience that drives sustained product usage and loyalty globally.

What you’ll do
- Deliver Onboarding Excellence: Partner with the Early Customer Journey product and commercial teams to design, implement, and continuously optimize our onboarding to reduce time to value and resolve friction points.
- Drive Retention Strategies: Develop and execute comprehensive long-term retention & habit-building strategies, with a clear focus on increasing Customer Lifetime Value and significantly reducing churn across the user base.
- Lead Customer Journey Comms & Messaging: Own the comms strategy across the early customer journey and craft effective messaging informed by A/B testing, to remove barriers, increase comprehension, and drive key retention behaviors.
- Collaborate Cross-functionally: Act as a strategic partner to our Product, UX, and Commercial teams, driving cross-functional alignment and influencing roadmap decisions that directly support activation and retention goals.
What you’ll bring
- A Strategic & Passionate Lifecycle Product Marketer: 6+ years in Product Marketing (B2C or B2B), Lifecycle Marketing, Retention Manager, Product Management, or similar roles with a heavy focus on lifecycle and customer journey optimization.
- An Expert in Customer Journeys and Lifecycle Marketing Strategies: Deep expertise in crafting and executing successful lifecycle strategies, ideally within app-based platforms or consumer-focused brands.
- Highly Experienced in Product-led Growth: Direct experience with shaping activation and retention strategies in a product-led go-to-market motion.
- Highly Analytical and Proficient in Experimentation: Expert in understanding customer behavior through data - analyzing retention curves, defining retention metrics, etc. Familiar with hypothesis building, testing, and experimentation to optimize product and marketing tactics.
- A Master Collaborator: Proven ability to partner effectively with Product and Commercial teams, influencing product development with a customer-centric mindset. You excel at leading diverse, cross-functional teams in a global setting.
- Customer-Obsessed: Deep understanding of user psychology and an unwavering passion for solving customer problems.
- An Exceptional Executor:Strong project management skills to juggle multiple initiatives across diverse domains.
- A Messaging Expert: Master of messaging and positioning, able to craft clear, compelling narratives that captivate customers and drive them to action.
