DEEP - Institute for Deep Tech Innovation is ESMT’s innovation hub dedicated to amplifying our ecosystem’s ability to generate and scale science-based businesses. Currently we are looking for a

(Senior) Venture Manager "Compute”

(m/f/x, 40h/week, to start as soon as possible)
Location: Berlin

• co-manage the Creative Destruction Lab "Next Gen Computing” in collaboration with our partners at HEC Paris,
• serve as the primary point of contact for DEEP’s Compute vertical, engaging with a network of seasoned entrepreneurs, investors, corporate leaders, and scientists,
• help build an exceptional support ecosystem and program experience for founders and innovators in the computing space,
• lead the recruitment and selection of the most promising (future) deep tech startups,
• act as a visible and vocal advocate for our programs within the startup and innovation ecosystem,
• support program delivery and session operations with a proactive, hands-on approach.

• thrive in startup-like environments where "building” is more important than "managing”, "executing” beats "conceptualizing” and uncertainty might surround you,
• have a track record at the intersection of entrepreneurship / innovation and high-performance computing / quantum computing / artificial intelligence / or similar,
• have initial experience in managing teams,
• are familiar with the operations of startup accelerators, incubators, mentoring programs and alike,
• have managed complex stakeholder environments through strong service orientation and very good communication skills,
• are well-organized, able to multi-task, and meet deadlines while paying attention to details,
• are fluent in spoken and written English,
• are flexible regarding working hours and able to stay calm in stressful situations.
