Site Reliability Engineer (m/w/d)

up to 60% home office

As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), you are the foundation of our platform. You are passionate about highly available, scalable infrastructure and enjoy keeping self-developed systems running productively and securely. SRE principles such as toilet reduction, SLO orientation, and proactivity are not buzzwords for you, but part of your everyday work. You ensure that our systems run reliably, securely, and efficiently at all times—protecting companies and governments worldwide from digital threats. You operate our dedicated infrastructure, automate processes, establish SRE best practices, and ensure stable, scalable operations. Your work lays the foundation for innovation, growth, and fast development cycles—in short, you are key to the success of Alpha Strike Labs.

Your responsibilities

Operation and further development of our Linux-based infrastructure (on-premises/colocation) for regular global internet scans and our Alpha Strike Platform.
Setup and maintenance of infrastructure as code.
Monitoring and optimization of system availability with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK.
Planning and implementation of robust backup and disaster recovery strategies.
Automation of processes (deployment, configuration, backup, recovery).
Definition and tracking of SLIs/SLOs, incident management, postmortems
Documentation of technical processes, knowledge transfer within the team
In close cooperation with the development team, you will ensure continuous improvement and smooth operatio

Wir suchen dich, wenn Du

At least 3 years of experience as an SRE, DevOps, or system engineer
Analytical, structured, independent: you approach challenges systematically and independently
Hands-on mentality and willingness to solve infrastructure problems pragmatically
Enjoy continuous learning and familiarizing yourself with complex in-house developments
You have experience in automating complex infrastructure
In-depth knowledge of Linux (Debian/Ubuntu), shell scripting (Bash, Python)
Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet. Ansible is preferred.
Containerization and container orchestration including networking & security, ideally with Docker and Kubernetes
Experience in setting up and further developing monitoring & logging (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
Confident in using CI/CD pipelines (GitLab), Git
Experience with backup/recovery & security (firewalls, IDS, system hardening)
Understanding of the design and implementation of SLIs/SLOs in collaboration with the team and knowledge of SRE principles (toil reduction, error budgets, incident triage, and post-mortems)
Ideally, you have experience with data-intensive platforms and large amounts of data
Knowledge of Golang for maintaining and expanding our tools is an advantage

Nice to have

Experience with databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
Experience with agile development methods (Scrum, Kanban).
