Staff Platform Engineer | Category-Defining AI Infrastructure & Vector Search | Remote

The Opportunity

We are a leading open-source engine and managed cloud provider at the heart of the AI revolution. Our platform serves as the "memory" for modern AI, powering high-scale search, recommendation, and data discovery for global enterprises.

We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer —a "builder of builders"—to join our core Cloud Platform team. This is a pure software engineering role focused on building the primitives and abstractions that power our managed cloud offering.

The Mission: Engineering at Scale In this role, you aren’t just managing servers; you are designing the systems that make manual operations obsolete. You will build the control-plane components and internal APIs that allow our entire engineering organization to scale.

• Architectural Leadership: Drive high-impact initiatives like gRPC migrations and the development of eventing/pub-sub foundations.
  
  
• Platform Primitives: Design and evolve core services and internal APIs used by teams across the company.
  
  
• Cloud-Native Innovation: Own and improve cluster-api components and Kubernetes abstractions using production-grade Go .
  
  
• DevEx Focus: Build the tools and abstractions that reduce cognitive and operational load for our global engineering org.
  
  

Your Technical Toolkit

• Experience: 5 years in software engineering with a focus on platform, infrastructure, or distributed systems.
  
  
• The Stack: High proficiency in Go ; experience with Python is highly preferred.
  
  
• Cloud-Native DNA: Deep expertise in Kubernetes and cloud-native architectures (experience with Operators is a major plus).
  
  
• Systems Design: Strong understanding of gRPC, event-driven architectures, and API design.
  
  
• Mindset: You treat the platform as a product and have the communication skills to drive technical alignment across remote teams.
