As a Supplier Quality Engineer within Siemens Energy and the business area Grid Technologies, you play a key role in ensuring that our global suppliers meet all technical, quality, and regulatory requirements for electrical and electronic components and assembled products.
You collaborate closely with cross-functional commodity teams, procurement, and engineering to conduct supplier qualifications, audits, and assessments. By driving supplier development and monitoring performance, you actively contribute to the successful implementation of our supply strategy and the continuous improvement of our global supplier base.In our multicultural and international environment, no two days are the same. How You’ll Make an Impact
- Overall responsibility for all relevant SQM elements for electrical and electronic parts and assembled components within cross-functional teams
- Coordination and leadership of supplier quality activities in alignment with commodity strategy and global factory network
- Implementation and management of the Supplier Product and Process Qualification (SPPQ) process
- Execution of supplier audits according to IMS standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) and VDA 6.3
- Management of commodity-specific non-conformance processes including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions
- Initiation and execution of supplier development measures as well as negotiation and implementation of Quality Assurance Agreements
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering or a comparable field
- Several years of professional experience in Supplier Quality Management, Quality Management, or a technical function, ideally in electrical and electronic components and assemblies
- Strong knowledge of relevant international standards for electrical and electronic products
- Proven experience in auditing (Lead Auditor or 1st/2nd party auditor according to ISO 9001, preferably ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and VDA 6.3)
- Experience in root cause analysis and other quality and risk management methodologies
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in German and English, combined with willingness to travel internationally
