Here at Wayfair we are revolutionizing the furniture business moving from traditional furniture stores to a pan-European drop-ship fulfillment model. The challenges we face include how to drop ship an assembled wardrobe from Gdansk to Glasgow? How do we maintain a consistently high product quality and handling across 1.5 Million products and growing?

As a key member of the EU Supplier Operations team, your primary responsibility will be to tackle these challenges for our strategic sourcing market "Poland” aiming to improve the customer experience by reducing incidences and improve fulfillment.

To master this critical challenge, you will be engaging Polish suppliers on operational and management level to ensure that their order fulfillment processes, packaging and quality control are geared towards the demand of the online business / international drop-shipment in the peak season in Q4 ’18 and Q1 ‘19.

Developing the capabilities and processes of upstream furniture & décor manufacturers throughout Poland focusing on designing and implementing improved solution for drop-ship operations in the warehouse. Onsite work in our supplier locations to reduce damage exposure through adequate product handling, palletization and packaging.

This role requires solid understanding of supply chain or warehouse operations experience with a passion for optimizing and improving processes and ability to build report and get buy in from suppliers. This is a high impact role which involves encouraging suppliers to make fundamental improvements to their operations, not only to make them capable of effective online fulfillment, but also to provide a sustainable growth platform for the Wayfair business.

Responsibilities include:

• Responsible for developing the online fulfillment capabilities of the Polish importer and manufacturer landscape focusing order fulfillment, product handling and loading
• Manage a wide portfolio of Wayfair suppliers and work ‘on the ground’ at suppliers to improve their operational performance to ensure timely and exception free fulfillment
• Support supplier in identifying and implement quick wins to ensure a successful execution of peak season
• Engage with suppliers and internal stakeholders via phone and e-mail to solve immediate operational issues
• Work cross functionally with groups company-wide, including supplier performance, production performance and logistic to improve processes and identify and act on trends in operational performance and processing
• Direct and support suppliers through trainings and guidance according to Wayfair standards
• Support suppliers in order process: orders registration & label printing
• Support suppliers in their warehouse operations: picking, packing, labeling, palletizing
• Meet or exceed current internal standards while identifying areas for proactive improvement
• Consistently project a high level of professionalism

Requirements:

• Degree qualified or equivalent relevant professional experience
• Knowledge of direct dispatch / drop ship or warehouse operations preferred
• Strong English and Polish language skills both verbally and written
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work well both independently and in a cross functional team environment
• Action oriented, problem – solution mind set and ability to analyse data
• Proficient in use of MS Office programs
• Understand the complexity of online order fulfillment
• Enthusiastic, quick learner with proven ability to rapidly get up to speed with job knowledge
• Willing to travel within Poland and occasionally to other EU locations (supplier and Wayfair)
