Über diesen Job
We’re building a new kind of mortgage experience: transparent, digital, and truly customer-centric. We are a Berlin-based B2C Fintech founded by two repeat founders (YC alum, exit) with prior 10+ year careers in investment banking and strategy consulting. We recently raised investment to assemble a 30-person, exceptionally strong core team.
Our culture is built on ownership and clarity. We align with you on vision, set clear KPIs and resources together, and then trust your drive and expertise.
Buying property (and financing it) is probably the biggest financial decision in someone’s life. It’s complicated, opaque and anxiety-laden. And you will bring transparency and trust to the user journey through UX/UI design.
Tasks
- Design intuitive, trustworthy user experiences across the end-to-end financing journey.
- Translate complex mortgage concepts, regulatory constraints, and financial data into clear, confidence-building interfaces.
- Work closely with product, engineering, and operations to ship high-quality features from discovery through implementation.
- Prototype and iterate quickly, using research and real customer feedback to continuously improve usability and clarity.
- Shape and evolve our design system to ensure consistency, speed, and scalability as the product grows.
- Contribute to product thinking beyond screens — helping define flows, information architecture, and interaction patterns that reduce anxiety and cognitive load.
Requirements
- Experience designing digital products with complex workflows (fintech, marketplaces, SaaS, or similarly high-trust environments).
- Strong UX fundamentals combined with a sharp visual sensibility — you care equally about structure, clarity, and polish.
- Ability to simplify dense information and make complicated decisions feel manageable for users.
- Comfort working in ambiguity and collaborating in a fast-moving, early-stage environment where priorities evolve.
- Fluency in modern design tools (e.g. Figma) and an iterative, prototype-driven workflow.
- Fluency in English; German is a strong plus given the regulatory and customer context.
- Genuine motivation to build products that increase trust, transparency, and confidence in major financial decisions.
Benefits
- Competitive salary
- Participation in our employee options programme
- On-site in Berlin, with flexible remote work as you see fit
- High autonomy, low politics, fast decision-making
- The chance to help build something new, with real influence on how people buy homes in Germany!
We are an equal opportunity employer. We value diversity and are committed to an inclusive environment for all employees. If you are excited about the role but don't meet 100% of the requirements, we would still love to hear from you.
