About the role

We are looking for a motivated Chinese-speaking Working Student to support our Chinese localization project. The main task is translating and localizing our software interface and technical manuals from English to Chinese, ensuring accuracy, clarity, consistency in terminology, and proper formatting of the technical manuals according to documentation standards.

Location: Berlin/remote

Start date: from May
Working hours: up to 10 hours per week

Your Responsibilities

• Translate software interface content from English into Chinese
• Translate and proofread technical manuals and documentation
• Ensure correct and consistent use of technical terminology
• Format and edit documents using Microsoft Word
• Review translated content for accuracy, consistency, and readability
• Collaborate with the technical and documentation teams
• Support the continuous improvement of Chinese localization quality

Your Profile

• Native chinese speaker
• Currently enrolled as a student (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Germany
• Background in a technical field is preferred
• Good English skills (reading and writing)
• Familiar with technical terminology or willing to learn quickly
• Proficient in Microsoft Word
• Careful, detail-oriented, and reliable working style
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks within limited weekly hours
• Interest in technical documentation or localization

• Experience with translation or localization projects
• Experience with technical documentation
• Familiarity with software interfaces
