Über diesen Job
Intro
TerraGreen Solutions GmbH acts as the interface between landowners, project developers, municipalities, and public authorities, linking them with pioneering solutions in the field of nature compensation. Our focus lies in afforestation, renaturation, species protection, and the optimization of land use, as well as the development and restoration of natural carbon sinks. In doing so, we actively, purposefully, and effectively contribute to carbon sequestration and biodiversity conservation.
TerraGreen specializes in the creation of these ecological areas, providing clients with access to ready-to-use solutions.
To further develop our digital platform, we are looking for a tech-savvy and motivated working student (f/m/d) to support our team in Berlin.
Tasks
- Platform & IT Support: Assist in maintaining and developing our digital platform (based on React / NextJS) and support the management of internal IT processes (e.g. access control, backups, data structure).
- Bug Fixing & Testing: Contribute to bug analysis and resolution, test new features, and coordinate with our external development team.
- Research & Data Integration: Support research and preparation of georeferenced data (e.g. land use plans, compensation areas, public geo-databases).
- Collaboration with TecLead Ventures: Work directly with our senior developers at TecLead Ventures, who will actively support your professional development and facilitate your entry into practical work.
- Contribution to New Products: Participate in the development of AI-based tools for land data analysis and the automation of internal workflows.
Requirements
- You are in the early stages of a master’s degree in computer science, environmental informatics, geoinformatics, urban planning with a digital focus, or a comparable field of study.
- First experience with React, NextJS, and ideally with common mapping tools (e.g. Leaflet.js, Mapbox).
- Interest in geodata, digital environmental solutions, and open data.
- Independent, structured working style and a team-oriented mindset.
- Familiarity with Git/GitHub and modern web technologies.
- Excellent English skills (written and spoken) are a must; German skills preferred, but not required
Benefits
- Fair pay above the market average on a working student basis.
- Vacation: 20 days of annual leave based on a five-day workweek.
- Work-life balance: Compensation through flexible working hours and the option to work in a hybrid setup.
- Active involvement: An interesting, responsible, and varied range of tasks, as well as the opportunity to contribute to the development of an innovative and sustainable company.
- Direct collaboration with two founders who have already built several successful companies in the real estate and finance sectors. Their many years of entrepreneurial experience provide you with valuable insights, short decision-making processes, and the chance to actively contribute to the growth of an ambitious company.
- Regular team events, after-work drinks, and shared lunches.
- Our location: a central spot at Gendarmenmarkt in Berlin, with fresh fruit every day and a free in-house barista.
