We are recruiting on behalf of an international hotel group, opening a new property in one of the most prestigious ski resorts of the Bernese Alps.
This all-year-round destination will feature 100 rooms & suites, 3 restaurants, a bar, and a full-service spa, offering guests an authentic Alpine experience with the highest standards of hospitality.

We are seeking an experienced and highly operational General Manager to lead the successful opening and ongoing management of this property. With a strong background in Food & Beverage and proven expertise in managing luxury mountain hotels, the ideal candidate will ensure flawless operations, team leadership, and financial performance, while delivering an outstanding guest experience in line with the brand’s positioning.

Responsibilities

• Lead the pre-opening phase and ensure smooth operational readiness across all departments.
• Oversee day-to-day operations with a strong focus on F&B outlets (restaurants, bar, banqueting) and service excellence.
• Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing, guest-oriented team.
• Implement and monitor operational standards, processes, and guest service protocols.
• Work closely with the culinary and F&B teams to deliver exceptional dining experiences.
• Ensure compliance with local laws and health & safety standards, including holding responsibility for the "Patente” (Canton of Bern).
• Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance with a strong emphasis on operational efficiency.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local partners, authorities, and the resort community.
• Position the hotel as a year-round destination, ensuring both winter and summer season success.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as General Manager (or senior leadership role) in a luxury hotel, preferably in mountain destinations.
• Strong Food & Beverage background with a hands-on approach to operations.
• Solid track record in pre-opening projects is a strong asset.
• Fluent in German and English (French is a plus).
• Holder of the "Patente” (Canton Bern) or eligible to obtain it.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to adapt to seasonal variations and guest profiles.
