As the Business Line Manager - Aftermarket for MEDGAS-Technik, your primary responsibility is to lead and expand our aftermarket sales and technical service operations across Europe, initially concentrating on the DACH region. This strategic role is vital to achieving the division's growth and profitability goals while enhancing customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
Working directly under the General Manager and as a pivotal member of the leadership team, you will oversee significant transformation initiatives. This includes integrating MEDGAS-Technik into the Atlas Copco Group and embedding a profitability-driven culture within your teams. You will also prepare the foundation for BeaconMedaes Europe, ensuring seamless alignment with corporate objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
Conduct comprehensive assessments of current business performance and develop actionable strategic plans with clear short, mid, and long-term targets.
Anticipate market trends and technological advances, guiding product development and innovation to maintain competitive advantage.
Foster a high-performance culture through robust management systems, setting measurable objectives, and conducting regular performance reviews with data-backed feedback and coaching.
Champion health and safety standards by organizing regular toolbox talks and ensuring completion of mandatory training modules across teams.
Promote transparent, open communication and fairness, prioritizing a customer-centric approach in all operational aspects.
Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety, service delivery, sales, and marketing, managing full profit and loss responsibilities for the department.
Operational Excellence
Drive continuous improvement in customer satisfaction by establishing precise measurement tools and feedback mechanisms to track service quality.
Lead and develop your team through engagement initiatives and structured professional development to meet and exceed targets.
Set a standard for professional and courteous customer interaction to deliver world-class services.
Manage operational costs meticulously, optimizing utilization rates and ensuring effective cost recovery aligned with division KPIs.
Enhance technical expertise within the team with structured training programs, reinforcing MEDGAS-Technik's position as a market leader in healthcare services.
Ensure integrity and transparency in operational reporting by promoting understanding and adherence to FAM reporting frameworks.
Sales Leadership
Achieve consistent year-over-year growth in service and spare parts sales, aligning with predefined revenue and profitability goals.
Advocate for and leverage the MyMedGas platform as the primary tool for managing service activities.
Support sales and bidding processes actively, mentoring team members to build stronger client proposals and outcomes.
Build strategic relationships with key accounts, assessing customer needs and identifying opportunities for business expansion.
Increase customer engagement by advancing service contracts and promoting proactive maintenance and retrofit solutions, fostering smart hospital integration and enhancing connectivity through the MyMedGas technology platform across Europe.

To thrive in this role, you should possess:
- A university degree in engineering or similar coupled with at least 5 years of comprehensive experience spanning technical and commercial domains.
- Outstanding proficiency in English, both written and spoken, to effectively communicate across multinational teams and clients.
- Strong analytical abilities paired with financial acumen to interpret complex data and manage budgets accurately.
- A proven track record of leading technical teams and successfully boosting service sales performance.
- In-depth understanding of organizational finance and cost management principles.
- A valid driver’s license and readiness to undertake regular travel to support customers and business operations across Europe.
