Diese Aufgaben warten auf Sie:

• Conducts structural mechanical design and analysis by selecting and developing numerical models, applying numerical methods, defining interdisciplinary boundary conditions, and ensuring their integration into both own and cross-functional models (e.g. performance). Validates boundary conditions, performs and interprets numerical simulations, and derives improvement suggestions from the results
• Designs and executes structural mechanical experiments, including the preparation of test specifications for rigs and engines, supervision and support during test execution, and real-time validation of results. Analyzes and interprets test outcomes, comparing them with analytical or empirical models
• Applies evaluative judgment to resolve technical problems by analyzing information from multiple sources, interpreting results, and identifying effective solutions using technical expertise and engineering judgment
• Manages defined technical work packages or investigations, ensuring delivery in line with project milestones, and meeting agreed cost, schedule, and quality targets
• Acts as a key contact within the engineering discipline, sharing subject matter expertise across functions. This may involve advising customers, influencing peers, representing senior staff, and mentoring others in areas of technical authority
• Aligns work with the company’s business and functional objectives, consistently demonstrating both company values and the ethical standards of the engineering profession
• Actively promotes, encourages and supports the identification and implementation of continuous improvement (s of tools, processes and methods) both within and outside their immediate sphere and prompt action across the wider team

Was Sie mitbringen sollten:

• Strong technical knowledge in mechanical design methodologies and have an understanding of cross-discipline engineering concepts which include but are not limited to manufacturing engineering, aerodynamics, thermodynamics, thermal and mechanical analysis, cost engineering and product definition
• Nuclear Specific - The Mechanical Integrity engineer shall exhibit strong technical knowledge in mechanical design methodologies and have an understanding of and ability to integrate crossdiscipline engineering concepts which include but are not limited to manufacturing engineering, hydrodynamics, thermodynamics, Stress analysis both static and dynamic, fracture and fatigue assessment, cost engineering, Installation & Commission. They shall also undertake a wide range of roles including project and change management, conceptual design, final design verification, support and approval of the final product definition, support manufacturing and integration activities
• An ability to apply logical, analytical and innovative thinking on a range of technical problems and make balanced decisions across technical and business parameters
• Knowledge and experience of product integrity / liability and certification frameworks
• Membership of a relevant professional body appropriate to region. In the UK - attained / working towards Chartered status is preferred (and equivalent regional variations)
• Good communication and presentation skills at all levels of the organisation
