Your responsibilities:
- Handling shipping procedures: Checking deliveries of undeclared goods for conformity, clarifying issues with the goods receiving and purchasing departments if necessary, and creating arrival notifications for customs
- Preparing and completing customs declarations: Monitoring imported goods for prohibitions and restrictions as well as other trade policy measures and procurement, compiling and checking the necessary data and documents for import
- Determining statistical commodity codes, establishing customs values, applying the necessary customs procedures in accordance with general guidelines, and completing customs clearance
- Clarifying issues with authorities and ensuring audit-proof documentation and archiving using the Assist 4 and SAP procedures
- Supporting and advising specialist departments on customs issues, as well as conducting training courses and creating work instructions and process descriptions
- Providing support and assistance during audits by authorities
- Adapting and maintaining customs-related data
What you bring to the table:
- Completed commercial vocational training, ideally as a freight forwarding and logistics services clerk, foreign trade clerk, or a comparable qualification
- Relevant experience in customs clearance, import/export processing, or export control
- Very good written and spoken German and English
- Willingness to be present regularly at the Bocholt site (mobile working max. 10 days/month)
