Your Role
The Vehicle Logistics Lead plays a critical role within the Outbound Logistics team, ensuring best-in-class delivery service to our customers by maintaining high quality standards while optimizing costs, operating in a global context.
This pivotal role requires close collaboration with both internal stakeholders and external Logistics Service Providers (LSPs) to ensure full compliance with applicable health, safety, legal, and customs regulations, as well as adherence to defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
You will contribute to the development of supplier governance and lead continuous improvement initiatives across the end-to-end logistics flow—from our production plant in France to major global destinations.
Key Responsibilities (but not limited)
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training materials, covering vehicle handling by transport mode, handover and inspection protocols, as well as vehicle storage and maintenance standards, in line with safety and quality requirements.
- Support supplier performance reviews through KPI tracking and SLA adherence, driving continuous improvement across Safety, Delivery, Quality, Cost, and Environmental (SDQCE) pillars via monthly and quarterly review processes
- Lead the Transport Quality strategy for all vehicle models, collaborating with Quality and Warranty teams to analyse transport-related damage claims and implement root cause-based improvement actions.
- Conduct compound site and transportation audits in accordance with QMS process requirements to continually assess and enhance vehicle delivery capability promoting best-in-class solutions across the logistics network.
- Develop and implement procedures and training for managing transit damage claims, ensuring efficient support for the retail network and end customers.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with key departments, including Plant Outbound Logistics, Regional Logistics, Sales, Quality, and Aftersales teams.
- Act as functional lead in complex and strategic Request for Proposal (RFP) processes, working closely with Indirect Procurement to define logistics requirements and evaluation criteria for supplier selection.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Logistics Services in an international environment - Automotive industry experience preferred, particularly in Quality and Logistics functions
- Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA or similar ERP systems and Transport Management Systems (TMS)
- Proven experience in managing high-value contracts and supplier relationships
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills and the ability to build relationships across functions
- Demonstrated leadership in fast-paced, high-pressure environments and the ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Customer-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering service excellence
- Strong continuous improvement focus, ideally with experience in Lean principles or Kaizen methodology
- Fluency in English; French and German are advantages
- Monthly travel to our production plant in France is required for audits, compliance checks, and team collaboration
