We are looking for an engaged Head of CEO Office & PMO Freight Strategy (m/f/d) to join our Global Head Office in Bonn on an 18‑month fixed-term assignment as maternity leave cover starting May 1.

Your key responsibilities in this role:

• Lead the CEO Office and provide support to the CEO, including managing all staff-related activities, preparing high-quality meeting materials, and creating clear and impactful presentations.
• You contribute to the program office of our transformation program by supporting the project lead with PMO tasks, taking ownership of strategic projects, and serving as a key resource for strategic initiatives across DHL Freight while coordinating all relevant stakeholders.
• Monitor short to mid-term business trends/ outlooks, manage macroeconomic, market & competitive data research and analysis to gather competitive intelligence to contribute to strategic and tactical business planning discussions with Senior Management of DHL Freight.
• Keep Track of competitor actions and strategic moves and, upon necessity, connect with relevant internal stakeholders to discuss potential implications on DHL Freight and/ or relevant countermeasures.
• Ensure smooth coordination of CEO Office priorities, act as a strategic sparring partner, and support the CEO DHL Freight with ongoing and ad hoc staff activities.

Our perfect match:

• Background in Business Administration, Economics, International Management or comparable fields, ideally with minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in strategy, consulting, PMO, transformation, or similar functions.
• Very strong stakeholder management and communication skills — both verbal and written.
• Excellent German and English language skills.
• Project management experience with focus on execution and cross‑functional coordination.
• High motivation, fast comprehension, and an entrepreneurial spirit paired with strong analytical abilities and an independent, goal‑oriented and efficient working style.
• A consulting mindset with process‑driven thinking.
• Open, collaborative, and solution‑oriented manner, with creativity, reliability, flexibility, resilience, and enthusiasm for working in a dynamic team.
• Willingness to work on-site at our head office in Bonn for 4–5 days per week.
• Excellent command of MS Office applications (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
