We also serve as trusted advisors for Group Functions in all matters related to Finance, IT, and HR.

Our team drives all strategic and global activities around major Ground Fleet topics at DHL Group. These are highly visible, business-critical projects with direct exposure to top management – all supporting DHL’s sustainability targets, such as fleet electrification.
To give you an idea of the scale: DHL operates a fleet of more than 100,000 vehicles, and we are also working closely with our subcontractors (who operate another 100,000+) to decarbonize their fleets.
Our key focus areas include:
- Sourcingof Cars, Vans, Trucks, and related Services
- Supplier Relationship Management with leading OEMs (e.g., Ford, Mercedes, VW, Scania, Volvo, BYD, SAIC)
- Innovative negotiation and fleet design concepts, including the use of game theory

Your tasks
- Support Ground Fleet DHL Deal Days projects – Prepare and analyze tender documents, develop negotiation strategies and supplier execution process
- Market intelligence – Market scan for price impact developments (e.g. CO2 emission standards EU and other regions, battery price)
- Contribute to key sourcing activities in our Ground Fleet categories (e.g. Cars, Vans, Heavy vehicles, Services)
- Assure Day-to-Day task on fleet related matters (e.g. delivery performance of new vehicles, peak season support, addressing technical & other challenges).
Your profile
- Minimum Bachelor Graduation in field of Engineering, Economy, Industrial Engineering before October 1st, 2026
- First professional experiences (up to 3 years) in regional/global environment; Fleet experiences of advantage
- Fluent English skills; very good German skills
- Office 365, MS Power Tools, MS Excel; MS PowerPoint
- Good communication skills, proactive, analytical problem-solver, hands-on mentality, open-minded and eager to learn
