As Engineering Manager - Retail Frontend (all genders) at HolidayCheck, you will lead with a focus on people, process, and frontend product excellence. As Engineering Manager - Retail Frontend (all genders) at HolidayCheck, you will lead with a focus on people, process, and frontend product excellence. You’ll foster a high-performance environment where frontend teams build delightful, reliable, and scalable travel experiences. By combining technical leadership with a product-oriented mindset, you will enable engineers to deliver user-facing features that have real business impact.
Your Tasks
- Lead and develop distributed frontend engineering teams through coaching, mentorship, and intentional career growth
- Partner closely with Product and Design to deliver high-quality, user-centric features in a timely manner
- Drive continuous improvement of engineering processes to increase speed, quality, and team productivity
- Ensure strong alignment across Product, Design, and Engineering to create cohesive customer experiences
- Define and track clear KPIs to measure engineering impact and link outcomes to business value
- Promote a culture of ownership, inclusion, excellence, trust, and continuous feedback
- Define and uphold frontend service-level objectives (SLOs) for reliability and performance
- Plan team capacity, lead hiring efforts, and scale the team in line with product roadmap needs
What you bring
- Strong technical foundation with deep frontend expertise and platform experience
- Proven track record in engineering leadership, including team management and organizational scaling
- Strong product mindset with the ability to translate business goals into scalable, sustainable technical solutions
- Experience leading distributed engineering teams across locations and time zones
- Operational clarity with a focus on delivery predictability and system reliability, combined with strategic foresight
- Empathetic, clear, and outcome-driven leadership style that enables and empowers others to succeed
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate transparently and effectively across functions and organizational boundaries
