Job Description
WHAT YOU TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR IN YOUR JOB
- Provide QHSSE support to operational teams during geophysical and geotechnical vessels’ operations.
- Ensure compliance with Fugro’s, clients’, and legal QHSSE requirements, in all phases of project lifecycle.
- Develop and continuously update QHSSE relevant project documentation
- Facilitates risk, learning, and emergency‑preparedness workshops to drive continuous QHSSE improvement.
- Analyse and report project specific QHSSE data and trends, support in defining SMART measures, preventive and corrective actions.
- Participate in conducting regular audits (internal and external) and inspections, incl. site visits on vessels.
- Be the client interface for all questions related to QHSSE.
- Drive project‑specific QHSSE training and awareness programs, actively promote a strong safety culture, and support the effective rollout of corporate QHSSE strategies and objectives.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING
- Master’s degree in geotechnical or geophysical engineering, environmental sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum 5-8 years relevant working experience in the field of HSE and project management; experience in offshore or marine industries, preferably in geotechnical, geophysical, or seismic survey environments.
- Strong understanding of offshore/marine safety legislation, and recognized industry standards; certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, STCW and/or BOSIET are an advantage
- Experience with risk management and root cause analysis methods
- Experience in internal and external audits is an advantage.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Office applications (365), databases, and Sharepoint; knowledge of HSE tools for incident analysis is an advantage.
- Strong in coordinating diverse stakeholders across vessels, project teams, and clients, while effectively collaborating in multicultural, multidisciplinary environments.
- Brings proactive analytical strengths and clear, confident communication skills
- Independent way of working, brings solution-orientation and hands-on mentality
- Willingness to travel.
- Excellent written and spoken German and English.
