Your profile:

  • Advanced degree (PhD or MSc) in Quantitative Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5 years’ experience in quantitative modeling within energy trading, commodities, or financial markets
  • Strong programming skills (preferably Python), with expertise in time-series modeling, optimization, and machine learning

  • Self-driven and capable of working independently
  • Preferred expertise in at least one or two of the following areas:
    • Forward curve modeling for energy commodities

    • Storage and flexibility optimization
    • Renewable energy forecasting (wind/solar)
  • Pragmatic mindset and a constructive approach to problem-solving
  • Excellent command of English; fluency in German is a plus
  • Ideally, experience in project management

What we offer:

  • Competitive compensation above collective bargaining agreements, with development opportunities at one of Germany’s leading energy companies
  • Diverse and engaging work in a highly motivated, performance-driven team
  • Hybrid work model: up to 3 remote days per week
  • Opportunity to actively influence the evolution of trading and portfolio management at EWE TRADING

  • A stunning view over Bremen from our open-space office on the 21st floor
