Subproject Manager (m/f/d) Satellite Systems

To address the complexity of one of our major satellite engineering projects we are looking for Subproject Managers to take responsibility on at least one of the major activities.

Your Tasks

• Lead and motivate the team of OHB to successfully achieve the objectives of the subproject (e.g. Space System, System-of-Systems, Breadboard Development or Simulator)
• Coordinate technical tasks of OHB and synchronize participating consortium partners within the subproject and harmonize them with the overall project
• Take responsibility for the subproject and perform project management tasks to successfully deliver in time, budget, and performance
• Report the subproject status to the program manager
• Organize and lead technical discussion with the customers, OHB team, and consortium partners

Your Qualifications

• Completed studies (Diploma or Master) in aerospace engineering, electronics, software development or equivalent qualification
• Several years of professional experience in satellite engineering projects, preferably for the whole space system and in the field of defence and security
• Strong competencies in leading and motivating a team
• Strong competencies in project management
• Strong negotiation skills
• Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills
• High motivation, pro-active working approach, and strong sense of responsibility
• Experience with applicable standards and processes (ECSS, IPMA)
• Ability and willingness to achieve a German security clearance
• Fluency in both spoken and written German and (Business) English
