Senior Scientist R&D Oligo (f/m/d, 100%)

For our growing oligonucleotide business, we are looking for chemists to strengthen our R&D team. Depending on your qualifications and professional experience, we offer you the opportunity to join us at different levels, for example as a scientist or senior scientist.

In our new research laboratories, you will be responsible for the development and optimization of the manufacturing processes from synthesis to the final API in collaboration with our customers as well as internal research projects. You will work in a small and dedicated team together with other chemists and chemical laboratory technicians and will be able to rely on the latest equipment and technologies in your daily work.

Your tasks:

• Planning and implementation of process developments in cooperation with other departments
• Identification and evaluation of innovative technologies & new reagents and materials
• Implementation of process transfers (scale-up) and support of production when introducing new processes under cGMP guidelines
• Manufacturing of small product quantities for internal and external customers (non-GMP)
• Writing reports and creating presentations
• Supporting production in solving chemical challenges (trouble shooting)
• Collaboration in project teams for internal coordination of a project and communication with the customer

Your profile:

• Master's degree or doctorate in chemistry or a related field
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in oligonucleotide chemistry, preferably in process development. Familiar with the most common oligonucleotide manufacturing technologies, e.g. SPOS.
• Technical and project-related leadership skills
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Detail oriented with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems
• High level of flexibility, independence and ability to work in a team
• Excellent written and oral communication skills (English mandatory, German is an advantage)
