Our client is an international manufacturer of electrical components. It has several production plants in the USA and the EU.

As VP Strategic Sourcing / Supply Chain you will be responsible for the supply chain operations of an international group of companies.

Type of Contract: Permanent position at our client; no staff leasing

• As VP Strategic Sourcing / Supply Chain USA, you will be responsible for the supply chain operations of an international group of companies that manufactures components (metal, plastic, electronics) at production sites in the USA and the EU.
• To this end, you will set up a logistics team in the USA and lead these and other international procurement staff.
• You will optimize a robust supplier network in the US and abroad, create external production capacities (including low-cost locations) and thus lay the foundation for further growth.
• This is a complex coordination task, taking into account production capacities, quality, prices, customs duties, etc. One focus of your tasks is the integration of the processes of the international locations.
• The job is aimed at a hands-on problem solver, also at store floor level.
• This role will involve a high level of travel (50%) between company locations.
• You will report to the COO of the company group.

• You have more than 15 years of international experience in strategic sourcing for metal, plastics and electronics in the US and ideally also in the EU
• You have more than 7 years of leadership experience
• You have gained your experience in manufacturing companies, ideally in the electronics sector - candidates from consulting firms or wholesale will not be considered
• You have a high willingness to travel
• You are a US or EU citizen or hold a US work permit
• You are business fluent in written and spoken English
