Tasks
As Chief of Staff / Strategy Consultant, you will work at the heart of Placetel’s leadership team, directly supporting the sales and marketing executive leadership. Your mission is to increase strategic focus, execution speed, and cross-functional alignment across Sales, Marketing, and Product.
This is a high-impact, high-visibility role combining strategic thinking with operational excellence. You will drive key initiatives forward, prepare management-ready decision materials, and ensure that strategic priorities translate into execution across teams.
- Act as a trusted sparring partner to the sales and marketing executive leadership team on strategic and operational topics.
- Support and drive cross-functional strategic initiatives (e.g. growth strategy, go-to-market models, product positioning, expansion initiatives).
- Structure complex problems, develop clear recommendations, and translate strategy into executable plans.
- Prepare management-level presentations, decision papers, and executive updates for leadership meetings and steering committees.
- Coordinate and track strategic initiatives across Sales, Marketing, and Product to ensure alignment and delivery.
- Support day-to-day operations by prioritizing initiatives, following up on action items, and removing blockers.
- Analyze business performance, KPIs, and market data to support decision-making.
- Facilitate communication between leadership and teams, ensuring clarity on goals, priorities, and expectations.
- Identify gaps, inefficiencies, or risks in processes and proactively propose improvements.
Requirements
- 3–7 years of experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, business operations, or a comparable role in a SaaS / tech environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-structuring skills; able to turn ambiguity into clear options and recommendations.
- Proven experience creating executive-ready presentations and strategic narratives.
- Solid understanding of SaaS business models, go-to-market strategies, and cross-functional operating models.
- High level of ownership, reliability, and ability to operate independently in a fast-moving environment.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence working with senior stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and project management skills; able to manage multiple initiatives in parallel.
- Fluency in German and English.
Benefits
- A unique position at the intersection of strategy, execution, and leadership with direct exposure to senior management.
- The opportunity to shape key growth and transformation initiatives in an AI-native SaaS business.
- High degree of ownership, trust, and visibility across the organization.
- A fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with short decision paths and real impact.
- Hybrid and remote-first working model with flexible working hours.
- Competitive compensation and modern working equipment.
- A collaborative, open culture with regular team events and strong peer support.
