My client are a leading European retail organization with a strong presence in their sector, committed to delivering high-quality products and seamless customer experiences. As part of our ongoing digital transformation, we are expanding our technology team to support and enhance our supply chain systems.

We are currently seeking an experienced SAP Developer with a strong focus on Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) to join our dynamic and collaborative environment. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and optimization of SAP-based warehouse solutions, ensuring efficient logistics processes and system performance across our operations.

• Design and build complex, tailored applications within the SAP EWM and SAP for Retail landscape using ABAP and ABAP OO

• Drive the ongoing enhancement, stability, and performance of SAP EWM-related solutions

• Architect and develop integrations between SAP and non-SAP systems, including modern web-based technologies

• Prepare functional and technical specifications, along with maintaining clear software documentation (in German)

• Analyze requirements, provide effort estimations, and translate them into robust technical solutions

• Execute developer testing and contribute to both functional and technical quality assurance processes

• Support business and technical users by addressing inquiries within a DevOps-oriented operating model

• Contribute actively to team retrospectives by sharing insights and proposing continuous improvements

• Degree or vocational qualification in business informatics, computer science, business administration, or a comparable IT-related field

• 2+years of experience in ABAP/ABAP OO development, ideally with a focus on SAP EWM/WM and familiarity with EWM frameworks such as RF Framework and PPF

• Strong understanding of logistics processes and hands-on experience with SAP modules MM and SD

• Proven experience in designing and integrating SAP interfaces (e.g. ALE/IDoc, REST, OData) as well as working with enhancement techniques like BAdIs and user exits

• Experience in form technologies such as Adobe Interactive Forms and SmartForms

• Solid knowledge of ABAP Unit and practical exposure to test-driven development (TDD)

• Interest in and willingness to work with modern SAP technologies, including SAP BTP, CAP, and SAP UI5

• Very good German language skills (written and spoken)

• Ability to work independently with a structured and results-oriented mindset

• Team-oriented, open to collaboration, and comfortable working in agile environments, with a proactive attitude toward shaping and improving engineering culture
