Aufgaben

Your tasks – this is what awaits you in detail

• Developing cutting-edge technology and designing scalable and robust backend solutions for our Kaufland Marketplaces is a part of your daily work
• You take ownership of end-to-end feature development, from designing and coding to testing, deployment, and monitoring in production environments
• You work closely together with different stakeholders and other engineers, communicating
  effectively to achieve a common goal
• You contribute to the evolution of our development processes and methodologies,
  exploring new tools and technologies that can enhance our engineering practices
• You are writing clean, maintainable, and high-performance code while adhering to best practices
• In pair programming sessions, you mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and growth

Profil

Your profile – this is what we expect from you

• You have an educational level that corresponds to completed university studies in (business) information technology, (business) engineering, mathematics, or physics, or you have comparable practical experience
• You are an expert in PHP, but you don't limit yourself to one language. You prioritize finding the best solution for every problem, which makes you eager to deep-dive into other languages like Golang and contribute to our international e-commerce platform with a versatile mindset
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, databases, and microservices architecture and
  familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker, Kubernetes
• You have the drive to continuously develop both yourself and your team further in order to become a little bit better every day
• As a member of our Backend Foundations team, you are driven by engineering excellence. You empower our product teams by building highly efficient solutions that serve as the backbone for delivering seamless and scalable product features
• You embrace AI-driven development and utilize modern AI tools to increase your efficiency so you can focus on problem-solving and high-quality output within a fast-paced environment
• You have excellent communication skills, are willing to embrace our company culture and values, and enjoy working in an international, English-speaking team
