Job description
- You prepare legally compliant safety data sheets and hazardous substance labels for the European and international legal area
- You advise our customers on safety-related and hazardous substance law issues and process customer enquiries on product safety issues (REACH, RoHS, VOC, IKEA, POP, various chemical listings)
- You check the relevant supplier documentation, in particular the safety data sheets, and carry out plausibility checks and research
- In addition, you report products internationally, for example via PCN, KEMI or similar systems
- You provide internal advice on chemicals legislation, in particular REACH, CLP and GHS
Requirements
- You have a degree in natural sciences or have completed training in the field of natural sciences, e.g. as a chemical-technical assistant (m/f/d) or chemical laboratory assistant (m/f/d)
- In addition, you have sound experience in hazardous substances legislation, in particular REACH, CLP and GHS and have basic knowledge of waste and dangerous goods legislation
- Ideally, you also have knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and CHEMDOX
- You are confident with MS Office 365 products
- In addition, you are fluent in German and have a good command of written and spoken English
- You work independently, in a structured, goal-oriented manner and are a team player
