Head of Quality Control (m/f/d)

Step into a key leadership role at our Aachen site, guiding the Quality Control function with vision and purpose. As part of the Site Leadership Team, this role is about more than oversight—it’s about shaping the strategic direction of quality control and making a lasting impact.

The focus is on building a culture where continuous improvement and operational excellence thrive. That means championing LEAN-lab methodologies, streamlining processes, and embedding best practices that ensure consistency and compliance with global regulatory standards. Just as important is nurturing the team: developing talent, planning for the future, and creating an environment where people can grow and succeed. In order to lead a team of approximately 50 professionals, prior leadership experience is important. This could be in the form of managing a smaller team, serving in a deputy role, or leading cross-functional projects. The ability to manage complex workflows and ensure timely delivery of results is essential, especially in a dynamic environment where product quality is non-negotiable.

An ideal candidate would bring a strong scientific background, preferably in pharmacy, chemistry, or a related field, along with several years of experience in pharmaceutical quality control. Familiarity with GMP regulations and international quality standards is essential, as is the ability to communicate effectively in both German and English. Experience with laboratory information management systems (LIMS), data integrity principles, and audit readiness would be highly beneficial. The role demands not only technical expertise but also a strategic mindset and the ability to influence across functions.
