At Covestro, we develop high-quality, customized technical specialty film solutions for customers in the Automotive, Medical, and Security segments within our strategic business unit Specialty Films. As a global provider with production sites in Europe, North America, and Asia, we are looking for reinforcement for our dedicated team.

In addition to our diverse benefits, a full-time position offers an attractive starting salary between €89,400/year and €108,500/year plus a variable component. The starting compensation depends on your qualifications and professional experience.

Your Mission with Us

• You initiate and lead application technology projects with new or existing film products and develop innovative applications in close collaboration with the Commercial Operations organization

• Coordinating technical activities in alignment with Research & Development and Product Management according to strategic direction is your responsibility

• Along the value chain, you support customers and partners with your technical expertise and find customized solutions

• You actively scout and benchmark new technologies in the film processing industry and secure your own developments through patents

• With a keen eye for future trends in the film market, you identify new business potential and regularly exchange ideas with colleagues from other regions

• By conducting product and application training sessions and participating in trade shows and conferences, you represent Covestro as a technical expert

Your Convincing Profile

• You have successfully completed a technical degree – ideally in plastics processing or have a comparable qualification

• Several years of experience in application technology or development – preferably focusing on films or plastics (ideally in the automotive sector) – distinguishes you

• A strategic and analytical mindset enables you to translate complex customer requirements into technical solutions

• Your strong customer orientation and excellent communication skills help you successfully build relationships with customers and internal stakeholders

• You enjoy working in intercultural teams and impress with your strong networking abilities across national borders

• Fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken, complete your profile

This position requires (inter)national travel availability of approximately 30%.
