• Development and implementation of algorithms for the analysis and prediction of machine data and for the realization of autonomous control and regulation systems
• Responsibility for modeling, analyzing, and providing insights to increase efficiency and prevent errors in industrial plants
• Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to optimize data usage for industrial use
• Support in research projects and contribution to scientific publications and conferences
• Analyses of studies and publications to identify future fields of application of self-learning algorithms
• Willingness to travel occasionally at home and abroad to coordinate projects with international teams

• Successfully completed studies in physics, mathematics, statistics, computer science or a comparable degree
• Knowledge of physical modeling, data analysis and the usual software tools.
• Knowledge of machine learning and statistical modeling is desirable
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, C++, R or SQL and their basic libraries
• Experience in application development or with industrial control systems is desirable
• Ideally, initial knowledge in the field of vacuum coating
• Very good knowledge of German and English, ideally knowledge of another foreign language
