Introduction
The main responsibility of the role is to serve as a process integration engineer, focusing on the development of advanced power semiconductor technologies, specifically BCD and BCDlite® power technologies. We are looking for engineers with fab experience in FEOL or BEOL process integration. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent verbal and written communication abilities, and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Your Job
Develop and drive the advancement of next generation high performance power technologies, including BCDlite® and BCD at Fab 1, Dresden.
Take ownership of developing and qualifying FEOL or BEOL process modules.
Collaborate closely with device and process module engineers to achieve technology FOM (figure-of-merit) performance targets, reliability and manufacturability.
Work closely with colleagues at our sister fabs in the USA and Asia to develop and match technology performance between sites and differing fab tool sets.
Interface with internal and external foundry customers.
Meet the development timeline and transfer the process to the production team once the qualification has been completed.
Required Qualifications
Master/PhD in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics or another relevant field.
Minimum 5 years solid process integration experience.
Knowledge of SPC (statistical process control) and basic statistics. Basic data plotting and statistical analysis skills using software such as JMP.
Detailed Knowledge of FEOL or BEOL process integration. Basic understanding of semiconductor processes and tools (Lithography, etch, CVD, wet process, etc.).
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with proven success working across teams in Europe, Asia, and the United States.
Track record of consistently delivering on deadlines and fulfilling commitments.
Highly driven, proactive, and equipped with a strong sence of urgency in achieving goals.
Preferred Qualifications
Basic understanding of German language or a willingness to learn is desirable but not essential.
Experience with Fab transfer and fab process matching.
Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to explain complex topics with foundry customers occasionally.
Ability to travel occasionally to Asia and or USA.
