At the Institute of Radiopharmaceutical Cancer Research scientists (f/m/d) from the fields of physics, chemistry, biology, pharmacy, immunology, medicine and IT develop innovative radiopharmaceuticals and novel tools for functional characterization, improved imaging and personalized treatment of tumors.
The Department Life Science Nanomicrosystems is looking for a Postdoc (f/m/d) in the field of Functional Magnetic Nanomaterials for Cancer Diagnostics.
The projects are embedded in a QuBiopsy consortium employing multimodal, multiscale imaging, integrating complementary quantum imaging techniques to enable precise detection of early cancer dissemination in complex biological environments. The projects rely on multidisciplinary scientific approaches combining cutting-edge quantum magnetometry with state-of-the-art translational biomedica.
Your tasks
- Formulating scientific objectives and hypotheses within the project
- Selection of the portfolio of the magnetic materials and synthesis strategies
- Continuous update on the scientific literature in the field of study
- Synthesis and specific functional modification of the nanoparticles
- Data recording and managing according to good scientific practice
- Evaluation and interpretation of the experimental results
- Building a collaboration within a consortium
Your profile
- Completed PhD in the field of biomedical engineering, biophysics, biochemistry, nanoscience and nanotechnology or comparable natural sciences
- Relevant professional experience in the specified area
- Experience in the field of synthesis and biomedical applications of the magnetic nanomaterials, imaging, bioassays
- Motivation to engage in scientific research and method development
- Willingness to collaborate in interdisciplinary research teams
- Very good written and spoken English skills
