The Demand Planner (d/f/m) for Central Europe plays a key role in driving forecast accuracy and ensuring optimal product availability across multiple markets. This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving demand forecasts through close collaboration with sales, marketing, finance, and supply chain teams. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of translating market insights into reliable demand plans that support business objectives and customer satisfaction.
Acting as Demand Planner (d/f/m) you will be tasked with the following responsibilities:
- Forecasting & Planning
- Develop and maintain a robust rolling demand forecast for all product categories within Central Europe.
- Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and promotional activities to build accurate short- and long-term forecasts.
- Lead the regional Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, ensuring alignment between commercial, marketing, and supply chain teams.
- Identify forecast risks and opportunities, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Collaboration & Communication
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Finance to understand demand drivers and market dynamics.
- Collaborate with Supply Planning to ensure product availability and inventory optimization.
- Support the regional business units with demand analysis during new product introductions and phase-outs.
- Communicate forecast changes and assumptions clearly to cross-functional teams.
- Data Analysis & Reporting
- Monitor key forecast performance indicators (accuracy, bias, service level, inventory turnover).
- Utilize demand planning tools (e.g., SAP APO, IBP, Kinaxis, OMP, Anaplan, or similar) for forecasting and reporting.
- Provide regular performance reports and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain management, preferably within FMCG, consumer goods, or manufacturing industries.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in demand planning software (SAP APO, IBP, Kinaxis, or equivalent) and Excel (advanced level).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Fluent in German and English
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, matrixed, and multicultural environment.
