Join us in making a difference

United by the pillars of Campus Operations, Events, and Communication Design, the Talent Experience team crafts spaces, experiences, and stories that inspire connection and creativity. As an Events Specialist, you’ll be at the heart of our Events Team, designing memorable experiences that bring our community together. You’ll partner closely with Design, Procurement, Talent Development and Internal Communications to create events where people feel engaged, supported, and proud to belong. From epic company-wide celebrations to intimate team moments, you’ll create experiences that spark joy, foster connection, and leave people talking long after the last confetti falls. In this role, you’ll coordinate impactful company events from start to finish, bringing creativity and operational excellence to every experience. With autonomy to make decisions, you’ll play a key role in elevating how we celebrate, connect, and inspire our community. Your expertise in vendor management, event logistics, and stakeholder collaboration will ensure seamless execution that leaves a lasting impression. Ready to make moments that matter? How you’ll make an impact:

Our Core Events – Where Magic Happens:

You will work in a team of two event specialists to bring our wide range of internal events to life. From smaller team-tailored events to our Core Events such as Tech Get Together, Summer Party, and On Tour—our annual company-wide incentive trip to a secret destination—you will be at the heart of creating lasting memories for all our employees.

  • Coordinate event management for small to large-scale company events, overseeing the process from conceptualization to implementation, and follow up on smaller events to ensure seamless execution.
  • Conduct thorough research on suppliers, agencies, artists, hotels, venues, and other event-related matters to identify the best options for trivago’s events.
  • Obtain and compare offers, negotiate contracts with suppliers and artists in alignment with the Procurement team to secure optimal value.
  • Coordinate all aspects of event planning and execution, including decoration, print materials, logistics, and on-site/off-site setup and dismantling.
  • Ensure timely event communications through multiple channels within trivago to build excitement, keep the community engaged, and create buzz around every experience.
  • Supervise and serve as the primary point of contact for external speakers, artists, and vendors throughout the event lifecycle.
  • Evaluate events and create comprehensive final reports to capture learnings and continuously improve future experiences.
  • Consult and support colleagues and leaders on their planned events, sharing your expertise to enhance event quality across the organization.

What you’ll need to thrive:

  • Extensive experience (min 3+ years) in corporate event management with proven ability to coordinate large-scale events from concept to completion.
  • Strong research, negotiation, and vendor management skills with the ability to secure the best offers and manage contracts effectively.
  • Advanced organizational and project management abilities to handle multiple events simultaneously with attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage stakeholders at all levels and serve as a trusted consultant for event planning.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight, making autonomous decisions on non-routine tasks that impact team efficiency.
  • Fluency in both English and German (written and spoken) to communicate seamlessly with internal teams, external vendors, and event partners.
