As a Communication Design Intern within our Creative Production team, you’ll play a vital role in developing and communicating trivago’s brand strategy across various touchpoints. You’ll be creating visually engaging content that resonates with travelers, advertisers, and our corporate audience while constantly adapting to consumer preferences and market trends to maintain competitiveness.

How you’ll make an impact:

• Conceptualize and design dynamic visuals for various digital marketing channels, that clearly communicate trivago’s brand and product messages.
• Take ownership of your projects and ensuring timely delivery and exceptional quality while transparently communicating the technical possibilities and limitations of each project.
• Work closely with our creative team to refine visual narratives that align with brand strategies, ensuring every piece of content reinforces our identity.
• Collaborate with our brand and marketing teams to develop visuals that not only resonate with audiences but also drive measurable performance in marketing campaigns.

What you’ll need to thrive:

• A Bachelor/Master’s degree in design, branding or advertising.
• Authorized to work in Germany as an intern and available full-time (40 hours/week) for a 6 months
• The ability to create highly engaging designs that show a strong attention to detail.
• Solid skills in communication design, typography, layout, developing creative concepts, design implementation and production.
• Solid knowledge of Figma, Adobe Creative applications, esp. Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and preferably also After Effects.
• A passion for new technologies, including familiarity with AI tools for image and video generation, audio processing, and video-to-text applications.
• Having a growth mindset, being proactive and eager to learn are must-haves for us.
• Excellent communication skills that allow you to clearly convey your ideas to team members and stakeholders.
• Fluent level of English (our company language).
