What lies ahead for you?
- Support and execution of projects and/or sub-projects in the area of "Procurement Cost Optimisation"
- Development and implementation of customer-specific problem solutions in procurement matters.
- Analysis of global procurement markets, trends, suppliers, and prices, and the associated identification of cost-saving potentials for our clients
- Main contact for suppliers, including supplier development in international markets, involving the relevant specialist departments and purchasing departments of our customers.
- Leadership / Support for our project managers in supplier / price negotiations
- Design and conclusion of supply agreements and framework contracts
- Conducting and facilitating value, outsourcing, and make-or-buy analyses
What should you bring?
- Completed degree in economics or engineering
- 2-5 years of professional experience in strategic purchasing within a medium-sized company and/or initial experience in management consulting.
- A convincing personality combined with a high service mentality and strong customer focus
- Willingness to perform, communication and teamwork skills, and strength of execution
- Strong analytical skills and a good technical understanding
- Targeted, action-oriented work
- Long-term vision in customer support, taking into account our cross-selling products
- Language skills: fluent German and English, other foreign languages an advantage
- Very good knowledge of the MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- High willingness to travel (Mon - Thu on-site at the client's premises)
- Hands-on mentality and a good dose of humour
