We are looking for a Student to join our team as a QA Engineer alongside passionate Software Engineers, QA Engineers and Product Owners, building, testing, releasing and maintaining our Business Studio application.

Business Studio is a platform which consists of free and paid products that enable key independent hotels to compete on trivago’s marketplace by offering an easy-to-use and reliable platform to drive direct booking at a sustainable cost.

How you’ll make an impact:

• Be part of our agile team and help to empower independent hoteliers to use our application.

• Use manual and exploratory testing methods to assure the quality of both frontend and backend changes to our applications and services.

• Design, maintain & improve our test automation scenarios.

• Work alongside developers and project owners to deliver high quality software.

• Pitch ideas to improve user experience and design of Business Studio.

What you’ll need to thrive:

• Currently a student pursuing a degree in Computer Science or comparable qualifications.

• Excellent communication and organisational skills allowing you to prioritise effectively in accordance with internal and external stakeholders.

• Excellent analytical skills enabling you to detect data/application inconsistencies.

• Fluency in English (verbally and written).

• Be a fanatic learner – always striving for personal development.

Stand out with:

• Basic understanding of modern web technologies and APIs.

• Understanding of databases like MySQL.

• Willingness to acquire/improve coding skills by implementing scripts for automation.

• Understanding of test automation and Java (or any other OOP programming language) is a plus.
